Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday

On many occasions people make reservations for Myrtle Beach golf vacations without realizing what they are letting themselves in for and they do not understand that Myrtle beach has so much to offer that they will have to practically force themselves to the course each morning, rather than enjoying the other attractions that Myrtle Beach has in its possession. Myrtle Beach has been given the accolades the “Seafood Capital of Carolina”, “the Golf Capital of the World” and the “Miniature Golf Capital of the World”. At least one of these is true, with 47 miniature golf courses at the last count it is the perfect getaway for a family vacation. So while you play golf, the family can try their hand at miniature golf and you all meet up for some wonderful seafood afterwards. There are no arguments about who is spending all his or her time on the golf course and everybody is happy doing their own thing.

In addition, there is an entire raft of water sports to try out and a whole beach full of entertainment, from the latest white knuckle rides to arcade slot machines. There is something to suit every age group from grandparents to grandchildren. This is in itself is what makes a grand vacation, everybody having fun without anyone sitting around bored, this is common in many golf vacations. There is just too much to do in Myrtle Beach for anyone to feel left out. Annually the number of golf courses in the area is increasing , and they have been designed by Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player, among other famous golfers and specialized designers such as P.B. and Pete Dye. There are packages available that include accommodation and full board, but if you desire to design your own vacation you can do so as well. You have to book your tee times well in advance, and get your accommodation fixed up early, but if you do it correctly you can enjoy a great vacation in Myrtle beach, designed just as you want it.

One might find it arduous if you just turn up at Myrtle Beach and look for a room and some free tee time. It is an extremely popular resort, and it is in high demand much, and though there are always cancellations available, you will be merely one of hundreds looking for them. Unless you have some inside information, you will have little chance of having as a good a vacation than if you had planned well in advance. The International Association of Golf Tour Operators voted Myrtle Beach the Golf Destination of the Year in 2002, beating over all other American resorts, including Scotland, Ireland and Portugal. This, along with the other tourist facilities it offers for adults and children, obviously is a clear indication that it must be a great place for a golf vacation. Myrtle beach golf vacations are just about the best there is in the world of golf.
